Costa Rica August-December 2001

I tried working in Costa Rica for a few months, for a school called Intercultura, but I didn't like it much. I met a lot of new friends and saw some fantastic wildlife and scenery, but the crime and the weather put me off.

I went to a place called Monteverde, which is up in the cloud forrest (that explains the weather). I tried the canopy tour - which involves these cables and fairly high speeds. I loved it, although it was very cold and damp.

Here I am returning to terra firma. The longest cable was almost half a kilometer, but the still goes past too quickly.
